The Balkans: An Epicentre for Conflicts Throughout the Ages

This study explores how the Balkans reflect the Hobbesian state of nature, marked by conflict and competition, further examining how a potential conflict between Serbia and Kosovo could serve as a catalyst for a broader regional conflict. Persistent dissatisfaction with new borders and hubris might pave the way for further unrest, especially in the event of a larger European conflict involving Russia in the years to come.
