Russia Opens the Sumy-Kyiv Front

Chechen Republic President Ramzan Kadyrov stated that the Akhmat-Chechnya unit liberated the
town of Ryzhivka in the Sumy region on the Ukrainian-Russian border, indicating that Russia opened
the Sumy-Kyiv front. Kadyrov said fighters from his Akhmat battalion “together with servicemen
from other Russian units carried out tactical operations and liberated another settlement from the
enemy.”
“It is the village of Ryzhivka, which is on the border with the Kursk region,” the Chechen leader said
in a post on Telegram. As a result of large-scale planned offensive actions, the Ukrainian side
suffered significant losses and was forced to retreat,” he added.”i
ICGER president Dr. Yousef indicated in “Russia, Europe, and the Coming Nuclear War,” published
on March 25, 2024, that this front would be one of the axes of the Russian offensive against Ukraine
in the spring/summer of 2024 in order to encircle the capital from the east and northeast.
