As Predicted: Russia Accuses Ukraine of Orchestrating the Crocus Hall Terrorist Attack
On May 24, FSB chief Alexander Bortnikov accused Ukrainian military intelligence of direct involvement in the March 22, 2024, terrorist attack at the Crocus Hall in Moscow. “The investigation continues, but it can already be said with certainty that Ukrainian military intelligence is directly implicated in the attack”, he said.i The attack left over 100 victims dead or injured. This is in accordance with what Dr. Mohammad Yousef predicted in a March 24 study published by ICGER titled: “Russia, Europe, and the Coming Nuclear War.” In it, Dr. Yousef mentioned that Russia will accuse Ukraine of orchestrating the attack despite the Islamic State-Khorasan having claimed responsibility for the attack on several occasions. Bortnikov stated that over 20 people have been arrested, including some who were in direct connection with the Moscow attack.
“The investigation is ongoing, but it is already safe to say that Ukrainian military intelligence is directly involved in this attack,” state news agency TASS quoted Bortnikov as saying.ii “Ukrainian intelligence services are actively recruiting young people and teenagers to commit terrorist activities by promoting pro-Ukrainian nationalist organizations on social media.”iii
In the aforementioned study, Dr. Yousef stated that “Although the operation in Crocus has been attributed by the Islamic State organization to the Wilayat Khorasan, providing clear evidence that they were the ones behind it, this will not challenge the Russian arrogance and the belief that Russia is only targeted by major powers and that only the West and NATO dare to challenge it. In fact, Moscow will likely accuse the West and Ukraine of planning, organizing, and ordering the Islamic State to carry out the attack. This aligns with its consistent policy of deceit across all its political dealings, and it may hasten the nuclear confrontation between Russia and the West in Ukraine.”
